Technology matters here mainly for two reasons: finding problems earlier, and being able to show you what we have found rather than asking you to take it on trust.

About Our Dental Technology

We understand that the newest technology can make a huge difference and that is why we invest in advanced dental technology. We are committed to staying at the forefront of dental techniques. We offer advanced and innovative procedures like dental implant restoration, Invisalign invisible braces, and much more. This allows us to provide you with the dental care that you are looking for and deserve.

Technology That Serves the Patient

Equipment is only worth having for what it lets us do for you. Digital X-rays find decay between teeth and infection at the roots while those problems are still small. The intraoral camera turns an explanation into something you can look at and judge for yourself. That second point fits how this practice works. The emphasis is on a complete, educational appointment where you understand what is happening in your own mouth — and being able to put an image on screen and talk through it is the most direct way to do that. Paperless charting and electronic claims are less visible but save you time, keeping your records accurate and submitting insurance claims directly rather than on paper.

Seeing Is Understanding

If you have ever left a dental appointment unsure why a treatment was recommended, ask to see the image next time. We would rather spend the extra minute showing you than have you agree to something you do not fully follow. That is as true for good news as for bad. Being shown that a watched area has not changed since last year is genuinely reassuring in a way that being told it is fine is not. Call (480) 581-7681 to book an appointment.

FAQs About Dental Technology in San Tan Valley, AZ

Q. How often do I need dental X-rays?

Only when there is a reason. That depends on your decay risk, gum health and history rather than a fixed schedule. Some patients need them yearly, others considerably less often. Dr. Gifford will explain why any particular image is being taken.

Q. Can you see cavities without X-rays?

Some, but not all. Decay on a surface we can see and probe is detectable visually. Decay between teeth or underneath an existing filling generally is not, and those are common locations — which is exactly the gap X-rays fill.

Q. Are dental X-rays safe?

Dental X-rays use a very small amount of radiation, and digital sensors require less than older film. Protective measures are used, and images are only taken when clinically justified. Tell us if you are or may be pregnant.
